why practise yoga?
Physically, yoga enables strength, tone, flexibility, balance and increased co-ordination. Stiff joints become more flexible, internal organs become more efficient and bodily systems come back into balance. Many people report improved digestion and sleep after practising yoga.
On a mental level, yoga calms the mind, increases concentration and improves mental clarity. When the mind is clear, it is easier to feel into the heart and hear the wisdom within.
Yoga empowers us to experience an improved relationship with ourselves. We then experience a greater awareness of our relationship with others and our contribution to the world.
